At the Contra Costa Family Nest, we believe every family deserves support. But some families face greater barriers to safety and care than others.
Half of the reason this center exists is because of them:

Survivors Deserve Care
We are committed to partnering with domestic abuse providers and shelters to make sure survivors of violence are not left behind. Every person leaving an unsafe situation deserves:

Safe, trauma-informed birth support.

Holistic wellness care (body, mind, spirit).

Community and belonging as they rebuild.
This support will always be offered at no cost to them.
Our Doula Team’s Role
When doulas join our center, they don’t just get referrals, visibility, and community. They become part of a mission:

To be trained in supporting survivors of domestic abuse.

To stand with the most vulnerable families at the most tender moments of their lives.

To use their skills not only for private clients, but for justice, healing, and change.
Why It Matters
Because birth is not just about babies.

It’s about showing women and families that they are worthy of safety, love, and support.
It’s about creating a future where every parent has a choice—and every survivor has a chance.
