Why Contra Costa Needs a Third Option

Families deserve more than the current hospital-only model and home birth options. A community birth center fills a critical gap in access, continuity, and choice in perinatal care — improving outcomes and supporting families with dignity.
Community Based Perinatla Care:
• Increases family-centered care choices
• Reduces interventions by offering evidence-based, holistic support
• Supports continuity and trauma-informed practices for all families

Where We Are Now
The Nest is currently in its early development phase, structured through community efforts and seed funding under PPC, LLC. Our immediate priorities include:
• Securing grant-writing and planning support
• Establishing formal operational infrastructure
• Building community and provider networks
• Launching fundraising initiatives to support growth
